Principal - Paul Fuller

Mr. Fuller is proud to serve as Principal of Laurelwood Elementary, a role he began in the fall of 2022. Having grown up in the Santa Clara Unified School District, he is a familiar face and a passionate advocate for the community.
Mr. Fuller has dedicated his entire professional career to the district, serving for 7 years as Assistant Principal and 9 years in various roles across all grade levels. From elementary physical education and high school math teacher to District Math Teacher on Special Assignment and summer school principal, his diverse experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of students' needs.
Since arriving at Laurelwood, Mr. Fuller has championed the school's motto: "Supporting the Whole Child." He believes in fostering a positive school environment where students can thrive both academically and socially-emotionally.
He has been instrumental in implementing and growing the Laurelwood Way, our school-wide expectations that are part of our Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS). This system helps create a supportive climate for all students and staff.
Mr. Fuller is a familiar and enthusiastic presence around campus. He has advised the Student Council, coached the 4th/5th Grade Flag Football team, and supported countless other lunchtime and after-school activities. He also loves to celebrate student success, handing out Tiger Paw pencils every Friday and leading our monthly Blue Day Assemblies to recognize students who follow the Laurelwood Way.
